Semester holidays are now established with the Sydney Winter’s frost; and to pump warm blood about we have some awesome events and challenges lined up for you!

There is a continuation of the movie marathon; TWO Pokemon events, one of which is hosted by our friendly AnimeUNSW and AnimeSydney; and another K&E! And let’s not forget SMASH!

Name Trivia Competition—Winners!

SUAnime’s inaugural Name Trivia Competition (Semester 1) concluded at the end of STUVAC with wonderful success for Andy L. and Roxanne P. and Mallory R. placing first, second and third respectively.

Congratulations and happy shopping for our first and second place-getters!

Movie Marathon … part 2!

Kara no Kyoukai episodes 4 – 6 will be shown… though if you missed the first 3 you can still come for the following 3 reasons:

1. The chronology is absolutely not linear… nor circular … just crazy.

2. You’ll catch on what’s happening pretty quickly.

3. In reality, no one actually knows what’s going on with the first 3 episodes so you won’t be the only one utterly LOST but the music, animation, and acting is just amazing!

The final episode will likely be shown sometime during Week 1, Semester 2; depending on level of interest.

WHEN: 15 July, Thursday

TIME: 2 – 7 pm

WHERE: Reading Room (again) … so wear something warm.

COST: mainly for the food … we’ll be providing some but very welcome to BYO too and share. Access:  $1 // Non-Access: $2

Got to catch them all … DS Style! AnimeSydney Pokemon Tourney

Yo,

That’s right people, we’re holding a Pokemon competition! While it may seem a little late with the incoming Pokemon Black/White at the end of this year and the fact that Heart Gold/Soul Silver have been out for quite some time now, it is actually perfect as players have had enough time to create the perfect team! Players of all level of skill are welcome to participate, but note that there will be several competitive rules to comply with. We will begin with 3v3 elimination rounds, and ultimately full on 6v6 matches. Players interested will need to register on this forum by Sunday the 18th of July, and more details will be disclosed regarding the competition structure then.

WHEN: Sunday 26th July

WHERE: Somewhere in UNSW (TBA)

TIME:  11am

So yeah, good luck and have fun! =D

Cameron Chu

AnimeUNSW

3.00pm: LIVE! K!

Laser skirmish!

There has been some major changes.

You and friends can still attend without the RSVP—however, we cannot guarantee a spot  for you.

So suit up and let’s save the world at night, when the lasers are brighter…

Ordinary meeting

An ordinary meeting with SUAnime gives the opportunity for members to meet with the execs and discuss, plan, and give directions for club operations. It is your chance to pass on your brilliant ideas for events, competitions; and any other comments to make this club truly your own.

Some of the events that will be discussed are the AnimeSydney Christmas Party SUAnime is hosting and this rumored Pokemon Event!
