That’s right people, we’re holding a Pokemon competition! While it may seem a little late with the incoming Pokemon Black/White at the end of this year and the fact that Heart Gold/Soul Silver have been out for quite some time now, it is actually perfect as players have had enough time to create the perfect team! Players of all level of skill are welcome to participate, but note that there will be several competitive rules to comply with. We will begin with 3v3 elimination rounds, and ultimately full on 6v6 matches. Players interested will need to register on this forum by Sunday the 18th of July, and more details will be disclosed regarding the competition structure then.

Rules:
Overused Tier: This means that any Pokemon considered an Uber as of the date of the tournament are banned, no exceptions. For a list of current tiers: www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/tiers/
Sleep Clause: Only one Pokemon can be given the Sleep status via Sleep Powder/Grasswhistle/Yawn/Hypnosis/Sing/etc. This does not include self induced sleep through Rest (i.e. you can still use a sleeping move even if 2 of your opponent’s Pokemon are asleep as a result of them Resting).
Item Clause: Only one type of every item is permitted (ie no 2 Leftovers, no 4 Choice Bands, etc.)
Species Clause: One type of Pokemon at most. You don’t want to see a team of rampaging Salamences, right?
OHKO & Evasion Ban: Moves that either one-hit-knock-out or increases evasion are banned, such as Fissure, Sheer Cold, Double Team and Minimize. Moves that lower or raise accuracy are accepted. Accupressure is okay however as its evasion boosts are rare and really can only be used on Pokemon that can be easily stopped (Seriously, if someone wins this tournament with a Shuckle…).
Level 50 Cap: Level 50 cap.
