Looking for a super cool club to join? Already joined but forgotten why? The following is the definitive list on reasons to join!

1. Dedicated to anime. Only USU club dedicated to anime. Truly.

2. Twice a week there are FREE screenings to give you a break from those LONG study periods. We screen on those big lecture screens with surround sound – the ultimate anime experience! PS. A community safety message: Although we do not sit close to the screen, the lights will not be turned on. =/

3. We get together once a week to draw, to chat, to draw, to get to know each other, and to draw. You don’t even need to be an artist – just enthusiastic with a pen and paper.

4. Although we often love to watch anime and read manga, we also love going out and socialisng with everyone else too! There are HEAPS of events organised throughout the year; and we make sure you know about it through our mailing lists, Facebook group, at the screenings and art socials, and in this website!

5. You can be a chibi exec – just like an exec and help out run the events. It’s a step towards the big thing!

6. Our socials and enthusiasm does not end within the boundaries of USU – we’re part of AnimeSydney, the collective of anime clubs and societies around Sydney. And with the AnimeSydney membership card you received upon membership with us, you can save with discounts and the major anime-related stores around Sydney!

7. We’re active in conventions around Sydney. Name it (like SMASH!, Supanova, Animania) and we’re there. We even COSPLAY now and then – we have pictures to prove it!

8. There is a lending library available to help you take the edge of those study periods and/or boredom at HOME. =)

9. We get nifty discounts around the local area including those we get with our USU Access cards!

10. Because we have loads of fun, even though it is a club dedicated to anime! =P

Well, now that you know why to join, if you haven’t already, come along to any of our screenings or visit us in Wentworth building ground level food court (we’ll be the guys watching anime near the powerpoints at the walls!) and we’ll get you signed up! All you need is an Access card and $5 for membership!
