Semester 1 2010

Hi everyone to an all new SUAnime screenings for 2010!

This semester we’ll be trialing a new screenings format for the first few weeks. The scheduled episode will be shown in the last half of the lunchtime screening session (so 1:30pm) and for the first 15-30 minutes of each session we’ll be showing a selection of AMVs, short episodes, interesting things off youtube related to Japanese and anime (MADs are included) and more. This short session is intended for members to socialise and get to know other members and execs as well as being a time to have lunch (yes, you can have lunch, but remember to take your rubbish with you ) and to give time for new members to sign up before the actual screening.

Depending on how this turns out the old format (of two series/session) may or may not be re-adopted.

If anyone has anything funny/japanese pop culture/anime/manga related you wish to share then you’re more than welcome to bring it along for the screenings. (Tuesday and Wednesday). Of course discretion is advised, keep it (relatively) clean.

Apologies to everyone who showed up at the screenings room during the first week. Screenings start officially on week 2.

Venue and times:

All sessions start at 1pm and finish at 2pm.

Tuesday:

Archtecture Lecture Theatre 3 (Wilkinson Building, walk into the building from City Road and turn right.)

Wednesday:

Carslaw Lecture Theatre 375 (Carslaw Building, walk in on the second floor from Eastern Ave, past the USU food stand and go up the stairs then turn right)

The Idiot, Tests, and Summoned Creatures (Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu)

Thursday:

Chemistry Lecture Theatre 2

Kimi ni Todoke + Random

Rules and Regulations:

• If you bring food or drink to the screenings, make sure to take your rubbish with you to be disposed of outside of the theatre. Show courtesy to others who also use the room.
• You MUST NOT attempt to operate any equipment in the theatre without prior consent from an SUAnime executive. You MAY NOT enter the theatre if an SUAnime executive is NOT present.
• Screenings are free to all members of SUAnime and friends. Non-members are encouraged to join the club.
